Tour Itinerary

09.30 Meet our guide at Sanamchai MRT Station Exit 1 in front of Museum Siam. Briefing and introduction to Bangkok history.
09.40 Walk to Ta Tian Pier. Then take a ferry to Wat Arun.
10.00 Explore Wat Arun. During this time, our guide will talk about the history of Bangkok, including how Rama I built the city, the Grand Palace, and Wat Pho. You’ll also learn about the Rama II era, the history of Thai food, and the Chao Phraya river. Visit different buildings in the temple complex and walk the Chedi.
11.00 Walk past King Taksin Palace. Your guide will discuss the new capital and dynasty during this time.
12.00 Walk to Wat Kalaya. You’ll cross the bridge from the right side and learn about Rama IV, including his favorite dish – Crispy Noodles. You’ll also learn about the original Chao Phraya river and the history of Rama III, the Chinese trading ship, and Chao Phraya Nikorn, who later became the Prime Minister and a friend of Rama III.
12.30 Walk to Kadichine community. During this time, your guide will provide an overview of the Portuguese community in Bangkok, and you’ll have the opportunity to sample some sweet snacks. You’ll also learn about the unique setting of the community, which is one of the best-preserved in Bangkok. The church owns the area, and no modifications are allowed. Members of the community all know each other, and there are multiple cultures and ethnicities present, including Christians, Muslims, and Chinese. You’ll also learn about the community’s tradition of keeping food fresh by giving it to neighbors and getting returns, as they do not have refrigerators.
13.00 Lunch at a fusion Thai and Portuguese restaurant.
14.00 Visit the church and try some Khanom Farang, a traditional Portuguese dessert.
14.30 Walk to Wat Prayoon. Your guide will provide a history of the temple and its importance in Bangkok’s history. You’ll also have the opportunity to walk inside the Chedi and feed the turtles.
15.45 Visit the Flower Market in Bangkok, also known as Pak Khlong Talat. This is a bustling and vibrant hub of activity where vendors sell an array of fresh flowers and vegetables, fruits, and other goods. Visitors to the market can enjoy the sights and smells of the colorful displays of flowers and purchase a variety of fresh flowers and other items at affordable prices. The Flower Market is a unique and authentic experience that showcases the rich culture and traditions of Thailand.
